Pricing questions

Why are your prices lower than some firms quote?

We only do homes, so the work repeats. The same components show up in nearly every house. Video walkthroughs replace travel. Commercial firms price residential work like a strip mall because their process is built for one.

A higher fee does not by itself mean a better study. The IRS Audit Techniques Guide judges a study on its method and documentation, not its price.

Do you charge a percentage of my savings?

No. The fee is fixed in your proposal. The IRS views contingency-fee studies as a reason for closer review, and we agree.

What does Form 3115 support include?

For rentals already on a prior return, the catch-up is claimed on Form 3115. For $450, we prepare the form and the §481(a) adjustment calculation for your CPA to review and file with your return.

Do you discount multiple properties?

Yes. Two or more properties in the same proposal get a lower per-property fee. List them all in your request.

When do I pay?

After you accept the proposal and before the study starts. If we find your property doesn't qualify for the study you chose, we tell you before charging anything.
